MOORINGS In the Heart of Emsworth

Situated on a tidal creek in the heart of Emsworth Town, Dolphin Quay offers step-ashore moorings with easy access to Chichester Harbour and the Solent.

The jetty is accessed via a gated walkway off Queen Street, ensuring secure access for berth holders only. Most spaces are suitable for bilge or lifting keels as craft settle onto the mud of the creek, with some finger jetties suitable for fin keelers.

You’re just steps from Emsworth’s shops, cafes and pubs, with simple on-site facilities including a WC, fresh water and waste disposal.

Moorings are let on a minimum 6-month period, and most owners get to know their neighbours well, there’s a strong sense of community amongst berth holders.

THE SHIPYARD OF EMSWORTH

Dolphin Quay has a long tradition in the maritime history of Emsworth.

Situated on a creek alongside Slipper Mill Pond, the quay has over time been a commercial dock for the unloading of coal and a boat repair yard servicing the Emsworth oyster trade. David Still Marine later built some of the first commercially certified RIBs to operate in the North Sea oilfields, and most recently, Tim Gilmore ran a traditional wooden boat repair business from the site.

Today Dolphin Quay provides moorings for a variety of leisure craft in the heart of Emsworth Town.
